INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (OpenSUSE 10.2)

Before iplt can be compiled, the packages listed below must be present in your system. In order to install the packages, the 'Official' repositories listed on the following page should be added to YaST:

http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Repositories

The following page explains how to add the repositories to YAST:

http://en.opensuse.org/Add_Package_Repositories_to_YaST

Depending on the procedure used to install your openSUSE system, the repositories might already be present. If this is the case (they are already listed in the 'Installation Source' panel), be sure not to add them again.

The following page explains in detail hot to install new packages in an openSUSE system:

IMPORTANT:

Before attempting to compile IPLT you must also be sure that the basic packages from the DEVELOPMENT group are present in your system. You can verify this, and install the packages, by following this procedure:

1) In the Start menu, click on the 'Computer' tag and then on 'Administrator Settings (YaST)' in the program list 2) Enter the administrator password when prompted 3) Click on 'Software Management' in the panel 4) Choose 'Patterns' in the Filter selector in the top-left corner 5) In the list below the selector, scroll down to 'Development' and check the 'Basis Development' and 'C/C++ Development' entries. If they are already checked, the packages have already been installed. 6) Click 'Accept' in the low-right corner and let YaST finish the installation procedures. 7) Answer 'No' when asked if you want to install other packages, and close all YaST panels.
